Common Knowledge

Giselle was adopted at a very young age by the Hawk Clan of the Seneca, and eventually was trained by them as a shaman and a member of the False Face society. As a teen, she was returned to her family in France, a fate worse than death, as far as she was concerned. Shortly thereafter she met and was embraced by Roland le Moissonneur.

Giselle joined the Circle in the late nineteenth century, under the tutelage of Aspasia, and later Edward Featherstone and Shir. Her one known student is Mordechai Griffinov, although it is likely she has also taken part in the training of Roland. She was not well-thought of by the Acolytes of DeKalb, as she refuses to follow the politically ambitious hierophant Mlle. Marie deGuise (something about refusing to accept spidermen and idiots as her peers). She has recently joined the The Concatenate and has somehow ended up at the Hierophant of Atlantic City - at least for those Acolytes there who do not look to other Hierophants. She seems somewhat bemused by the whole thing. Recently developments in Atlantic City have seen her appointed to the position of Mistress of Elysium, under the rule of Cardinal McKenzie Dumont.

Giselle rarely publicly discusses the details of her personal faith, although she seems to have a flair for dramatic rituals.

She has two known childer, John Little Bear and Owen Running-Deer and she has hinted at more. She has also been heard to play a Seneca flute, and is a maker of masks, often but not always in the traditional style of the People.
